Black and Robin Egg Blue
Raku pottery is a low fire process inspired by traditional Japanese artwork which involves removing pottery from the kiln while it is at a bright red heat and the placing it into containers with combustible materials. Once the materials ignite, the containers are closed, producing an intense carbonized atmosphere resulting in bright colors as well as the black crackle effect found on our pots.
Although the principles of Raku are fairly standardized, the results of our pots aren't. Each and every piece is original and unique and you will NEVER see two of the same patterns or colors.
NOT FOOD SAFE: Raku items are for use as display items ONLY (as pencil holders, potpourri bowls, etc.)
